The last court order ended — and we read the order ourselves

A federal judge formally ended the stay that had blocked the Haiti TPS termination, and in the same order refused the government's request to stop discovery, so the lawsuit continues. We pulled the two-page order off the court's own docket rather than working from news summaries: what the order says, and the two scams the headline will produce — in Kreyòl and Español. The status board and the site-wide ribbon were updated the same day.

Enforcement-era front page

A raid hotline bar now sits on every page, so reporting or verifying ICE activity is one tap from anywhere (RAISE · MigraWatch · COPAL). The status board gained a "Have the raids started?" card, two new guides went up — find someone detained and got a letter to report to ICE? — the rumor page was updated for what is circulating now, and this changelog was added.

Kreyòl and Spanish on every content page

Every guide now has a Kreyòl and a Spanish mirror, and the language selector keeps you on the same page in your language instead of dropping you back at the homepage.

Family-preparedness tools

A new tools hub launched with a wallet card, a family emergency plan, a document checklist and more — then was rebuilt as faster single-language apps: 15 routes across English, Kreyòl and Spanish.

EMERGENCY update: TPS terminated for Haiti and Syria

TPS for Haiti and Syria was terminated effective July 27, and work permits expired the same day. Every page was rewritten to say so. The site also became self-checking that day: the build now fails if any page contradicts the verified status data.

Get help became a searchable directory

The help page was rebuilt as a full searchable directory of verified organizations, with the by-city listings folded in so you search once instead of hunting through pages.

21 more verified organizations

Twenty-one additional organizations were added from the Haitian Times community action guide, each checked before listing. The update banner at the top of the site also became dismissible.

Five more TPS countries, and push alerts

Ethiopia, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen were added to the country status strip, because their terminations are held up in court and readers were asking. Push notifications were built so you can be told when the status changes.

Install it as an app — works offline

The site became installable on a phone home screen and now works without a signal, so the pages you have opened stay readable in a detention lobby, a courthouse hallway, or anywhere the data drops.
